Four cold cathode fluorescent lamps are slotted into a wooden floor lamp structure powered by a 7Ah Lead-Acid battery.

Still have to install battery status indicator, solar panels, and charge port. Right now the lights are acting as the battery monitor, when the voltage is low, so is the light.

I will probably replace the base with another more stable design and use NiMH batteries instead. The entire structure is too wobbly as it stands. Also the connection of the base to the stem is too awkward. I should make sure to keep the back face of the stem removable, so as to have access to the wires, and make it simple to disassemble.
